convertible top maintenance position/ for glass

My 02' has a glass rear window therefore it will not fold up as the plastic ones do, is there a different procedure for a glass top ? Thanks Frank

I've only ever touched the glass windowed cars, but I think it's the same:
raise the roof about halfway.
Disconnect the drip tray from the clips.
Disconnect the cables from their ball- mounts.
Lift the bottom / baack of the top up towards the front of the car. There's a "sweet-spot" where the top will fold above the glass window and allow the window to fit "upside down", basically right behind the seats.

The OP has a replacement top with the narrow glass window for the three stay original plastic window top. He is absolutely right, it doesn't fold up fully when you use the procedure you outlined.

This is one reason why - when replacing the top on a 986.1 (1997-2002) - it's a good idea to replace with a 986.2 (2003-2004) top with the four bow frame. It fits an allows you to put the top in full service position.

I had this issue with an aftermarket top and found the solution was too tuck the glass window above the frame with the hood on the service position.
