High Mileage Engine vs. Low Mileage Parts
I found a car I'm on the verge of buying but thought I should get your expert opinions before pulling the trigger.
As you can see in the photo, it's had a ton of new parts/maintenance in the last year, so I'm wondering if that should alleviate concerns about the high miles. Thanks! 03 Boxster Base Manual 124k miles http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1571779191.jpg |
Knowing the asking price would help. ;)
And the photo. Sounds like a nice car so far... |
Many of these repairs are short term and long term maintenance items. It’s a good thing that many of the long term ones have already been addressed. The other short term ones should have been done in a timely manner throughout the car’s life.

Not high mile for age.IMO 8K a year good for the age. Once again IMO. Mine is at 137 ish, and just today I was thinking the car is better than ever. These cars sit and on come the problems. BUT in most peoples opinion 125 IS high mileage so use that as price negotiation. IMO lol Dont look at the odometer or the bank balance. Worth every penny. learn about PPI

It's in the $7-8k range. I'd say it's in very good condition both inside and out. Two small dents, but aren't dealbreakers to me.
Someone wondered if the AC was disinfected because of flooding... ??? The title is clean/unbranded so that's probably not the case, right? Quote:
