Cam Sensor Codes
My check engine light with cam sensor codes did not go away after replacing cam sensors. I used aftermarket sensors from Pelican. Mechanic saying I need real Porsche sensors.
Does that sound kosher? |
Find a new mechanic.

I have had many instances (with many cars, not just the Porsche) where an aftermarket sensor wasn't fully compatible. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |

Depending on the code it could be any issue related to what the particular sensor can read. For instance the wiring to the sensor could be faulty. just like a dirty air filter can cause a MAF sensor code. Does not mean the sensor is bad |
Yes I doubted that both sensors failed simultaneously and that it’s a wiring issue. After not being able to identify a wiring issue I got the aftermarket sensor response.
Will go elsewhere for sure. |
