I need a shifter rod for a 99 Tip. Its the one with the ball end.NA from Porsche until spring. Part # 98642604301

Have you tried US dealers? Probably spendy-er, but a different distribution system, too. From what I can see, it's NLA, anywhere. But it was on a variety of model years and models, so it's probably readily available in wrecking yards. Might be sitting on a shelf somewhere, ordered, but never used. If the plastic thingy on the end of the rod is broke, you may be able to replace just that, wonder if the plastic top linkage would fit?

May not be the exact part all by itself, but for $80 you can buy the whole assembly, cables and all - from the top of the shift knob to the transmission. Or the Sunset website says it will ship 98642604301 to you in 7 - 10 days for $45+ shipping.

Sorry I don't have a transmission to pull one off of. The ball joint looks a lot like the same piece used for the convertible top control arms to me. Those plastic ball joints can be found new for cheap
