Cost to Replace aos?
I'm thinking of proactively replacing the aos before winter storage. Any ideas about the cost from inde?

Should be less then 2 hours labor + part.

I can change the AOS on my 03 S in 30 min easily. I would not buy one and then store the car. Buy one when you pull it out of storage or wait for it to fail.

AOS is just around $120 and if u have a little knowledged to wrench, just replace it by yourself. And yes probably replace it later after winter.

If it aint broke, don't fix it. If it fails--starts to smoke it won't damage anything if you promptly get it fixed. An Indie Porsche (german car shop) could probably get you a pretty close estimate. It's do able, but tough for fat old guys with ham hands, like me. :ah:

Unless AOS is damaged, proactively changing oil, filter, and perhaps fuel filter, pollen filter, and air filter would be more effective in periodic maintenance.

Thanks for your thoughts. You gave an old, fat, bald guy with thick fingers some options to consider.

Take off the right rear wheel and it is a 30 min job!
