Trim with Dremel cutting wheel, shape with sandpaper (wet), shine it up with Meguiars Plast-X polish.

I do it all the time ;)

Ok the picture looks like it should fit but I'm guessing not so much. Where was it from.

It will fit if I can cut it without breaking it.

JB, that rear is looking great. The spoiler add-on is going to look great. Be sure to author a DIY.

I think it would look great absent the adition of the acent stripe. Unless...

You could fashion a thin and narrow low-level LED strip accross the add-on, to align with the brake lights... maybe so the strip illuminates at the same level as the aftermarket tail lights. PW could help you with that... :)

the original pic looks like two black slats - can you paint behind/between the slats body colour?

I thought it looked transparent red...
If that’s the case, I’d backlight the whole thing as a brake or tail light.

I expected it to be several slats with gray tones in between with the Porsche logo over the slats. Doesn't match the pic or it does and I saw what I wanted to see.
I may look into the paint idea.

Its a gamble. The least expensive Porsche lettering on ebay at the time was $85. This was $116. If it works it will be cool looking but it may not. I've got to figure out the transition from molding to spoiler on the ends. 🤷

You're on to something...as you said, clean up the ends to match the shape of the spoiler edge and presto.

The pics on the new Boxster fool you...the paint is reflecting on the glossy black background. Kinda cool.

Yes its a Toth spoiler. I haven't given just yet but I don't think this will end up working. Ill probably end up ordering letters and making my own.

Many people w/ 718's are annoyed they cannot delete PORSCHE marque designation...

On 992s though you can pay $300 additional to have it painted gloss black helping hide...

LOL - the age old idiom... one man's trash is another man's treasure.

PS - agree looks better w/ out red accent unless you can make lighted and on same plane as taillights.

AWESOME...I would have tried that myself, too, if I had a Toth duck tail spoiler. Not too fond fiddling with spoilers, wanne be "safe" on the Autobahn. I jumped at high speed once...don't want to have an unbalanced spoiler set then :D
