What do you mean by 'custom'? The cheapest door sills I've seen are on ebay, but they are the kind that tape over the existing ones - not a clean look. We have the Porsche stainless ones, which are pricey (of course), but in terms of custom, we could do an exterior paint match, which might be cool.

So if you did the exterior paint match door sills guards- would I need to buy some more door sill guards to protect the painted door sill guards? And why is that if you write "sill" more than three times is starts to look funny?

Does anyone have any pictures of their door sills? I would love to see them "in action".

I think the only option if you were to upgrade your door sills guards to painted door sill guards would be to get carbon fiber sill guards to protect the painted sill guards, but paint the carbon sill guards to look like the painted sill guards so you don't have a crime of fashion going on in that valuable door sill.

I have these....

I had stainless steel ones that I put the Porsche crest on by cutting them out of the key fob you see here and then securing them on the sills with automotive grade double sided 3M emblem tape.

@ Boxtaboy,
So I take it that you are satisfied with the final product?
