Troubleshoot coolant leak from hose

Hello folks,

So last month i experienced a huge (total) loss of coolant leak. I thought it was water pump but was surprise to see that it was a coolant small hose vent that has come off. My mechanic (indy) somehow managed to fix/tweak the hose clipers so that it doesnt come off again.

Apparently this didnt last long, since im still loosing coolant after 1 month now.

How can i troubleshoot this on my own ( since mechanic is on vacations now) ? I remember the vent hose was deep down in the engine compartment and now i cant see to be able to find it easily.

The vent hose was looking something like that http://www.germany-autoparts.com/pho...4810602604.jpg

If i find the hose, and i buy it new, will i be able to replace it DIY ?

Thanks as always!
