High flow oil filter spin-on adapter
 

Has anyone got experience or views on the high flow spin on oil filter adapter ?

Looks to be identical to the spin on oil filter adapter made by LN. I have one, I like it. I purchased it to replace the original canister filter because the valve at the bottom of the canister can get stuck open and allow unfiltered oil to circulate.

My view would be that $240 is highway ****************ing robbery.

The adapter in the OP link is the LNE adaptor.

That site is overcharging.

I have one, they are expensive, but with track use 30% of my driving it makes it very easy to pull the filter seperate it and look at the screens. It also has a higher flow rate than paper. 5 track weekends a year. Oil change after each one and winter storage. filter start to eek into your budget. Haven't bought a filter in 3 years.

In London not sure whats available but Ebay has them for about $130 to $150 US.

What? This is about the LNE spin on adapter, not reusable filter.

BTW, I have both, too. It is nice to be able to just unscrew the filter and have a look. ;)

I’m not familiar with a reusable filter. How does that work? I have the spin on adapter.

I have the 45 and 25 micron stainless steel mesh filters, but only run the 45. The 25 would require more cleaning and the general consensus is that 45 is good for street use. It also has a built in neodymium magnet. ;)

So the part that you linked (10870) is the right one for our cars with the LN spin-on adapter?

I’ll have to look for my paperwork. I bought the filter and LN adapter from a member for $125, so no experience with the site or manufacturer.

I just checked. The correct filter is 10867 (the one I linked above).
