Part of top mechanism?

I found this after putting top in service position, likely cam loose and needs to be put back. Does anyone know where it goes.

The part number appears to be 986.581.657.00.

thanks.

It’s a spacer that goes on the hinge assembly of the cover just in front of the rear trunk and the rear glass. Should be that black plastic piece behind the hinge arms in this pic. Sorry, don’t know the actual part names

It was just by chance that I recall that part from three weeks ago after having replaced the starter motor. It too came off and flopped around when I took off the retainer clip which is why I remembered it so well. Glad I could help.
