Immobilizer discussion with Specialized ECU Repair

I was watching a Samcrac video in which he is repairing a Ferrari and had to get the ECUs repaired. While at the shop there was a discussion about the work Specialized ECU Repair does for the Porsche 986/996. Interestingly, they seem to be close to selling their own version of the immobilizer using some salvaged original parts.

I wonder how much those will cost. Right now they're charging as much as the dealer for one.
