Old side marker lamp as DRL's ?

Not bright enough to be useful as DRLs. Do the DRL hack described elsewhere in this forum. They turn the fog lights on with the ignition switch.

There are better lights that will be easier to mount. When the LED's in my DRL died, I decided to remove them. I don't want to block any air flow to the radiators, especially in the summer. If I did it again I would use the fog light hack and install LED bulbs to avoid burning the headlight lenses.

It looks like you stuck side marker lights in your grill as DRLs.

Not a good look, IMO.

I broke them trying to take the lens off to install the LED strip so I'm going to try something different. Mock up 👇

Absent the gap at the top of the strip... it could work.
