986 Belt rollers part number
Hi Everyone
New member here. Bought a '97 2.5 base Boxster recently and are looking forward to this new relationship. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02/9861560236130.jpg Drove the car hime frome sale shop a couple of weeks ago (1000km), and got an good impression of the car. A lovely car to drive in our Norwegian mountain roads. Much more fun than my last Porsche 928. It will need some TLC, but it seems so far managable. It has good service historics and new clutch/IMS/RMS done. My first project will be to change the tension rollers. They make quite some noice and after spinning them, it seems that all of them are bad. Are a little confused about the parts numbers for them. Pelican Parts seem to have the parts, but they refere to Porsche parts number that are i can not see in the parts diagram. Could be the the rollers have been made in new versions. Have sent PP an inquiry about it, but have so far not got an response to it. I will need Part # 8, 14 and 17. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1560236801.jpg In my part diagram does Porsche refer to Parts nr: # 8 996 102 117 53 Pelican 996 101 117 57 #14 996 102 119 54 Pelican 996 102 119 58 #17 996 102 118 52 Pelican 996 102 118 56 If someone knows if the rollers that Pelican suggest will work, it would be great. |
Use the link and scroll down. You can download the 618 page PDF file for your car. It will have the pics/numbers and the part numbers you are looking for.

Welcome to the forum, Geir! Where in Norway are you? There is another Norwegian forum member here named Nevergrowup who is in Drammen.
My wife is Norwegian, and we’ll be in Norway the first two weeks of July. We’ll be staying at her family’s cottage on the Drammensfjord near Hyggen. |

If you get the possibillty, you should try to take a road trip up in the mountains as well. |
Although I’ve never been to Stavanger, but I’ve seen it from the trail to Preikestolen! Norway is a stunningly gorgeous country, and some of the roads are really nice.
