Hi. Just checking in. I haven't been here in a few years, but I do still have my '03 Boxster S.

I really haven't been doing the 986/996 immobilizers and am still deciding if I am going to do any of this stuff anymore.. Honestly, with the amount of time it takes and the extensive damage I usually see, it really hasn't made sense to do the repairs. These generally require five to eight hours of repair, much under magnification, plus testing, repeat, etc. Then the problem is that sometimes you don't find all the corrosion damage, especially if someone has cleaned them. As well meaning as this is, the corrosion shows where damage is. If you see corrosion and something isn't working, I can pretty much guarantee that cleaning will not fix it.

I CAN clone immobilizers if you can supply your original and a good used one of the same part number. I may have a couple of good used ones that I may sell.
