External DPMS Sensors

Anybody currently using or have experience with, external TPMS sensors/system on their 986? I've been exploring the various external sensor systems and it's difficult to get good, unbiased info. My 2001 Boxster is, of course, pre-factory TPMS options and I'm looking for recommendations and solutions.
All ideas, recommendations, and experiences (good or bad) welcome!

I’ve tried them on other cars and thought they sucked, errors and failures. I have them on my Honda as stock and the car is 11 years old and still work great. If you have success I’m sure everyone would love to hear about it.

Thanks for the response! Were the external TPMS sensors you used on the Honda, attached to rubber or metal valve stems? I worry that the typical rubber valve stems may be a weak point.
