Amp in front trunk?
 

What is the amp in the front trunk of my boxster? It looks to be factory installed. I want to replace the Porsche radio with a Kenwood and I want to make sure I tell the installer what it is, power, model etc so that I can make sure it will work with the new radio

Yes, the factory amp is behind the spare tire.

What year is your Boxster, and does it have Bose or hi-fi options? That'll help determine if you will need any adapters.

only two bolts holding it on. It more than likely is a four channel Nokia but could be a 6 channel Nokia or Bose 6 channel.

Sorry, it’s a 1999 boxster base with a Becker CDR 210. The window sticker says “hi-Fi sound package w/speakers”
