01 986 won’t start
 
All started when I wash my only key in the washer
Still had remote front and rear trunk operating
Main lock and alarm switch was shot since the key came apart yesterday in the dryer.
Just put another switch in as in one of the YouTube vids, and it now works.
Fingers crossed, tried the ignition and nothing
WTH?
Help!

Check for the transponder pill in the key head.
Do a search if you don't know what that is.

Think I’ll bite the bullet and get 2 keys from pelican, have them cut here in town, and take them to Porsche for programming
