2000 Boxster S Radio CDR-220

I have a "good working" original radio that is acting up.
Boxster S 2000
CDR-220 Head

I disconnected the battery for charging and now I have a radio that 1st asked for a
Code ****, Not knowing what it was asking for I pressed the first "pre-set" button and entered (1111)

The radio does have power, but now shows ( WAIT ) !

I'm hoping I have an easy solution. I have a call into a Porsche dealer service dept.

Any suggestions ? I'm stuck on WAIT.

Thanks Woz

You will need to remove the radio & take it to a dealer so they can see the serial number on the back side & get the code number for you.

There is a thread in here called Radio codes or something, if you post in it the OP will post your a radio code. With it stuck in wait did you try removing power to get it to reset the radio again?

There is a way to get it to display the serial number without removing the radio but cant remember the sequence now.

Dealer wanted $150.00 and i hour wait for service.

My local garage just had similar challenges a month ago... $75.00.

Had to pull radio and call Dealer... Reset code 5030 for those who want to know...

All is good with the world. Out for top down 1st 60 degree day.

Thanks for the response .
