(sometimes I look here: http://www.944racing.de/wheelweights.php)

Bwahahaha..... touche, sir. ;-)

I have the TURBO wheels here, with corded NI01's on them
The 'S' wheels are in storage shed with Michelin AS3's on them.
So.... not practical to weigh them myself. ;-)

I'll try your link.

Maytag - I have both. The 10 spoke later S wheels are lighter.

Several years ago the 10 spoke were the go-to wheel in the Spec Boxster world as the lightweight factory wheel to use.

Jon - if'n you deliver the scale to Maytag, swing by and pick me up on the way. It'll be a good road trip. :D:D:D

The rears are 22 & 3/4#s and the fronts are just a **************** hair over 20 even. That's no valve stem or wheel weights and a healthy coat of paint

Qingdao - Stay safe and good luck with the incoming storm! Its headed for me as well, hoping we don't get hammered too badly.

Maytag - I am interested in the real weight of those 10 spokes you posted. 17s or 18s?

I've been thinking about exactly that. Seems you might want to even get a PPI on the wheels.

Meet the seller at a shop that has a wheel spin balancer & have them checked while spinning on the balancer. There should be no side to side or "hop"(up & down movement)

That's an 18- month old message you're responding to. He probably already handled whatever it is.

Have new 18" OEM wheels in.

I wanted to stay at 17s for weight reasons but also cheaper tires. Ended up getting these 18" Cayman S II wheels for a decent price. I am planning to get either General Gmax AS or Conti DWS06 tires to run the car all year long-ish. Both tires are the lightest by a fair margin, if the data is true on their websites.

18x8 are 22.0lbs (9.98kg)
18x9 are 23.4lbs (10.6kg)

I sent this information over to the email on that 944 page.
