Boxster Maintenence@ 15k... pls help

Hey everyone, I kinda need some quick help. Does anyone know how much the 15k maintenence for an 03 Boxster will run? And what does this entail exactly?

I live on a military base and my car is waaay over on the overside so I cant reference my booklet. If someone could give me this info I would really appreciate it.

There are a lot of posts on this. On this website I've seen it range from $600-1600. It just all depends. My local dealership charges in the 600 range. Almost invevitably they'll find something wrong, though.

Go the the search mode on this page and type in "15,000 mile maintenence cost" and that should get you started.

15000 mile service

Check air filter
Diagnosis system:Readout fault memory
Check underside of vehicle &engine compartment
Power-assisted steering: check fluid level
Check coolant hoses radiatiors and air inlets
Check coolant level and antifreeze protection level
Replace pollen filter
Inspect brake hoses and lines
Check brake fluid level
Inspect drive shaft boots
Check tires and spare wheel (if you have one)
Check firewall and cabrio section body drains
Check door locks, lid locks & safety hook of the front lid
Check vehicle lights
Check headlight alignment
Check horn

Check operation of all other electrical equipment as well as indicator and warning lights.

As you can see, many of these items could be checked by yourself and save a wad of dough. Good luck!

If you want to DIY it, you can do it for under $100. The only replacements are the oil/filter and the cabin filter. The cabin and air filter are at 30K, but I prefer changing the cabin filter more often since I have trouble with allergies. The rest are just checks and lubing the top. If you want instructions on the 15K items, you can click on my website link below.

If you want to do everything in the service (including reading the codes for the systems) you can order the Durametric reader that attaches to a USB port. It reads the DME, alarm system, airbag modules and climate control codes for about $200.
