Look up the Paypal refund claim deadline limit timeframe.
Clearly? I doubt that drama 🙄
Probably dragging his feet hoping the tops come in.

Here's the thread: New Boxster Hard Top Prototype

I've wanted one since he first posted, but never had enough need to justify the expense. Maybe if we get a list of serious buyers (cash deposit) we can get a production run of a few. Note that they are made with a track car in mind and are not finished for street use.

Yeah, I searched right after I replied and found that thread.

If I do this track car, I’d definitely be interested in one.

I’ll call Hergesheimer Motorsports soon and see what’s up.

6 months. Clock's ticking...

If he's not paying up it's because he doesn't have the refund cash.

Sorry to say, but the manufactorers acted pretty shady for a long time, the german distributor stopped business after a short period of time due to lack of information, support and trust.
Get your money back now and tell them, they are welcome to infom you once the shipment arrives. It might never happen, though.
I am pretty sure, that a better quality version of it could be 3D printed with e.g. aluminum.

I don't think Starter986 is choosing to have his refund take a long time. From what I can gather, he has requested it already and he has to wait for the refund to happen from the vendor or until 6 months has transpired since he has requested it (at which time PayPal kicks in and covers him).

It sounds like the seller is an epic scumbag and is dragging this out for some sort of personal benefit.

Sorry you are dealing with this, 986

Lol that's funny. Darn commies!
Not a bad price on the top though if you figure in shipping. 3 month delivery sucks though.

Yep, odds are, he's never seeing that money again.
That's usually how these situations end.
The fact that he refused the lawyer's help tells me he's in denial.

You have no idea how PayPal works. I've already spoken with them. Directly. On the phone. To a person here in the US. I'm fully covered if and when I decide to file a dispute.

Also, he coughed up a grand last night. What I want to know is how he’s going to purchase a container of tops from China if he’s gotta live off my measly few bucks?

Good to hear he paid up, some. That puts you closer to the finish line.

Best wishes on the continued recovery.

Thought I'm going to join the list
I am contemplating to get a Cayman style top for quite a while, there are none available locally, and I've found two stores on Aliexpress, they seem to be selling car parts for other models and brands as well. None of them have high feedback.

Shop1909968

ZART car tuning parts

I am speaking with both sellers to get more information.
Does anyone have experience with any of them?
