Porsche Shop For PPI - Upstate NY
 

Any recommendations for a top notch Porsche indy shop in the upstate NY area -- in the Albany Schnectady Saratoga triangle area?

I probably will need to do a PPI in a few days.

Thanks Mike, yes, I am aware of that site and I just used it. I found a few shops in the area. I was just hoping someone here might have a personal positive/negative recommendation or non-recommendation on some of those shops. An actual Porsche owner with an actual history and experience at those shops beats a listing on pcarshops.

Here are a few good shops in the area. I am only a couple miles from the dealer, New Country Porsche Clifton Park, if you need someone to look at the car in person I would be happy to stop by the dealer and have a look, should you choose to have the PPI done there.

Hi Aaron,

Thank you for that info and thank you for your generous offer to stop by and take a look at the car. It's not being sold at the dealer, it's a private party sale. If I were out-of-town, I might take you up on your offer to give it a look, but I'm in Westchester County, a little more than 2 hours away. I'll likely be up there on Wednesday. Plus, my son is at UAlbany, so it's a good excuse to go out to dinner with him.

I know of that dealer, and I also saw those other two places on pcarshops.com. What I was hoping to find out was whether anyone has personal first hand experience with any of those shops. Do you, or do you know someone who does?

I have personally worked with all 3 and they are all competent shops for handling a PPI. PM sent.

New Country are awesome. Their Master Tech really knows his stuff and will do a great job.

Thank you. I will be up there tomorrow for my test drive and look at the car, and if it passes my test, I think I will use New Country for the PPI.

Are you a regular customer there?

I know them pretty well, yes. Chris knows Boxsters inside out. Nick in service is awesome too.

Had the PPI done Thursday at New Country. Chris did it. Found a bunch of things, nothing major, but enough to get the price down.

Should be a done deal by tomorrow.
