Oh boy! headliner strap issue

So, the headliner strap came off on one side and I can't even see where it goes.
I've moved the top back and forth to see, to no avail. How do I remove the panel/carpet so I can see where the strap goes and reattach it? Thanks for any help!

You won't be able to get to it with the top open like that, it hooks on pretty much directly down and forward from where it's sitting in the pic, under the large knuckle it's sitting on.

You need to put the top in service position (search on here if you don't know how), then you'll be able to reach in under there and it just hooks onto a small bar there at the base of where the top pivots.

Thanks for this! Mine have been flapping around when I drive with the top down but I always forget to look up where they are supposed to attach after the drive. Now I know... although I think one of the hooks is broken.
