Boxter S

Hello Everyone, I have a 01 Boxter S that was a barn find. I have it running and getting there with everything. I have the memory power seats but the seats are ripped and the passenger seat has mildew hole. Tomorrow, I am picking of a set of black seats in beautiful condition from an 03 Boxter but not memory seats. Does anyone know if I can change out the chassis (the lower part with the front back power mechanism)? I don't know if they can plug and play as is? Any information shared will be appreciated.

Those seats look extremely nice!

BTW, it's spelled Boxster, not Boxter.

A good upholstery shop can transfer the leather/vinyl from the new seats to your old frames. The under padding too, if needed. They should verify functioning of the heating elements when doing this, too ... if applicable.

When I purchased leather seats to replace my ruined vinyl seats, both were non memory but still I had an upholstery shop transfer the heating elements from the old to the new seats which weren't originally heated.

Upholstery folks are wizards and you're better off having them do the work as you'll need years of experience to get to their skill level.

When seats are removed from car, do not turn on ignition or you'll set an airbag light that has to be turned off with capable equipment.
