How to beat a dead horse

Sorry, still tracking down some CLU issues. One question. On my drivers side door (USA) when I open it from the outside the window drops then goes back up as soon as I release the handle. So I assume the microswitch on the outside handle is ok. When I slowly start to shut the door - not closed but just enough for the latch to not engage - the window will drop! When opening the door from the inside all works as normal- window drops then rises after the door is closed. Does this seem to point to a latch microswitch failure?

Thanks,

Blair
