Does anyone know if they sell chrome side grill for a 2001 boxster s. I think I’ve seen them on some cars but don’t remember the years. Also how do you remove the side grills.thanks jimbo

I've never heard of or seen chrome louvres (or anything else) on a 986 Boxster.

If that is your thing get some chrome vinyl wrap and a hair dryer or heat gun and give it a try on your vents or pick up a used set to try it. There is one screw and then you have to carefully get it out without breaking any of the tabs. Keep in mind that they are 17-18 year old plastic that may not have been removed since their original installation and plastic gets brittle over time. The various online parts diagrams available may show you where the tabs are. That's how it is on a 2003 anyway.

One of my cars has chromed vinyl strips that were put on by the previous owner. It looks pretty easy to do and 3M double stick tape would hold it well.
