Removing "Dents" From Dash

Well, I finally got my instrument cluster back from repair, and installed it this afternoon. Everything is good, but oddly enough, the "Check Engine" light is illuminated, so I'll have to track that down.

Anyway, after buttoning everything up, I notices some small indentations in the dash at the two corners below the edges of the instrument cluster. I have no idea how they got there, as I had a towel covering everything during the removal/install process.

Anyone had luck removing dents/indentations from their dashboard? I honestly don't know if it's leather or not.

***Edit*** Just checked my options list, and it is indeed leather.
