Steering wheel swap

My 3-spoke airbag soon is enroute and prepared to be affixed to the Tiptronic 3-spoke steering wheel.

I've read plenty, and am confident it'll be an easy swap. However, upon another forum I read something about the Torx screws/bolts that causes me some concern.

I'll disconnect the battery

I'll remove the Torx from the existing 4 spoke steering wheel airbag... disconnect the connections... and then remove the steering wheel.

My inquiry: Will the existing Torx from the 4-spoke airbag align/reconcile with the 3 spoke airbag? Upon that forum wherein someone was describing a 993 to 996 steering wheel and airbag, and that caused me to wonder if I'll be using the same Torx for my 986 4 spoke to the 986 3 spoke swap.

I understand it's not an apples-to-apples comparison (993/996), but hadn't seen this question anywhere else (and, maybe because it's a non-issue/straight 986/986 swap).

Thank you.

The airbag screws are captive and stay in the steering wheel(s). You unscrew them to free the airbag, but they don't come out. Your replacement 3 spoke wheel will already have them in.

Thank you, Sir.
