What does touring package include?

Can anyone tell me what the touring package includes over the standard on a 98 boxster?

Thanks,

Jerry

Ok I might be wrong but I know for 2003/2004 the touring package meant litronics (xenons w/ washers) and the Bose Audio System, and includes all the other things the packages below it had.. heated seats, 17" rims (instead of the stock 16 that most dealers don't order anyway), PSM, etc.

The Boxster promo book that was issued when the car was first introduced ('97 model yr.) described the Sport Touring Pkg. as having everything from the Sport Pkg (CD w/upgraded sound, 17" wheels/tires, cruise, wind deflector, alarm system) plus trunk mtd CD player replacing in-dash player, on-board computer, and an "appearance pkg". The appearance pkg consisted of gear shift/handbrake in aluminum/leather, aluminum sill plate w/logo, aluminum instrument faces, aluminum color rollover bar, and a "large oval tailpipe". I thought they all had a large oval tailpipe, so I don't have a clue as to what the special one was.
In any event I expect the Sport Touring Pkg on a '98 was probably the same.
It wasn't a cheap option, listing for over $6700.

It is the chrome tailpipe that slides over the original.

And if I remember from 6 years ago when I was looking, that cosmetic chrome tip was something like $400.

It is made by Eisenmann, the same company that makes the original and new style sport exhaust.
