New question for next spring

A local Mom and Pop shop did an awesome job on powder coating my 17 year old wheels Porsche Silver and then a nice clear coat...so I asked about the calipers and he said no problem if they were torn down because he has to bake them for the powder coat finish. My long-winded question is if I just take the calipers off and let the fluid gravity bleed out will this drain the ABS pump....by the time I do this I will need to do a brake fluid replacement anyway.

Thanks
Dwight

yeah probably.

just cover the hard brake lines that screw into the caliper with a cap. No need to make your life more difficult by having to bleed abs and potentially the clutch.

Do NOT let all the fluid drain out when preventing such is so easy. (Not to mention clutch is still fed by master cylinder...)

Either cap off line at each corner w/ a golf tee or wire nut. Or if replacing brake lines in spring then just crimp each with a small a clamp or pair of locking pliers. Some will still drip using either method so wrap w/ a zip-lock bag if worried about any spillage.

Good luck :)
