				Mesh vent covers

Hello, just purchased a 2000 boxster and was looking to put mesh grills over side vents and also over the vents in the front bumper. Wondering what company makes them of good quality. Looking for some input.
Thanks

Zunsport make the front ones but it's easy to do DIY.

After reading Fred's post about doing his side vents (What did you do with/to your Boxster today? ), I checked out the vendor he used. I don't think they have pre-cut pieces for the 986, but I got a couple sheets and cut them myself. They also sell a few items on Amazon. I'm happy with the material and customer service.

I think you mean expanded, not extruded.
You can get those at home repair stores, too. They're half the price for twice as much material and you can have it today instead of waiting on shipping.

What they said. I also found at Lowes they have a roll of it. Its plastic and more flexible and does last. Used zip ties to attach.

Here's a picture of the gutter guard on my beater:
On a '99 with a newer style bumper:

I zip-tied it on a couple years ago as a quick fix and have been meaning to do it better ever since. Always too many other projects going on. The mesh from CustomCarGrills.com is significantly more expensive, but to me, still not a significant cost. Here's what I plan to replace my gutter stuff with: https://www.customcargrills.com/proddetail.asp?prod=Perf-Hex

Bought cheap mesh from an auto supply, and hot glued it in place from the back.

Nevergrowup - Have a picture of your entire front end? Curious how those lights look.

Not everybody's cup of tea, surely, but I think of it like a sort of homage to the 550's. I thought about adding LED running lights, but thought I'd be a little different. They are wired as ordinary high beams, though, not as running lights.
