2001 2.7 Boxster hesitating

The car started hesitating at low rpm's and I feel a loss of power. p0159 and p0160 codes pop in and out once in a while but I don't think its related. I took out my MAF and cleaned it with MAF cleaner. Did not help. I found MAF https://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-0280218055-Mass-Air-Flow-Meter-Sensor-For-Porsche-911-Carrera-Boxster-986/142663320881?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid =p2060353.m2749.l2649
hoping it would fix the problem but it got even worse (car started hesitating in 1st gear) and the day after replacing MAF code p0103 came on (Mass or Volume Air Flow A Circuit High) . I unplugged the MAF and the problem still exists. Today I punched it in 3rd gear and heard big "POP" from my tail pipe. I then replaced MAF to my old one, p0103 code went away and car runs better, still hesitates like it was before i replaced MAF.a I have brand new air filter and I ran a bottle of chevron. I bought a dirt cheap MAF and I should buy a better one from rock auto or pelican parts? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Those are cheap made in china units, they are about 1/10 the price of a real one, I actually have one in my car and it's working ok, but I'd guess it's not really a good idea in the long term and the quality checking isn't great. Just get a real one.

The fact it still hesitates when I unplug MAF, doesn't it mean that it might not be MAF problem?

Right, not the MAF!
