Where to get Porsche trans fluid?

Hey guys, so I stupidly ignored all of the advice here an used Motul 600 for my trans fluid. Lo and behold, shifts are not as smooth as I would like them to be. Anyone have a good source for getting the genuine stuff at a decent price? It seems like everywhere is like $30+ per quart.

Sometimes you have to pay the Porsche tax.
Pelican should be able to sort you out, however if you have an early 5-speed manual you may need transmission fluid with the part number: 000 043 304 71, which only comes in 20 liter bottles. If that's the case Sunset Porsche sells it by the liter, and don't let a local dealer sell you something else, and tell you it's an okay substitute.

I have a 2002 S with a 6 speed. It's something like 5.5 qts, right?

We have to pay $30 a quart for transmission fluid that usually costs less than $20, but we get to say "I'm driving the Porsche today." Worth it? Yeah.

Also - our cars are sisters - 2002 S in Seal Gray. Love the color - just washed and waxed it yesterday and I can't stop staring at it.

I got mine at the friendly dealership (I mean that) and got a PCA discount. Picked it up on the way home from work so I didn't have to wait on shipment.

The 6 speed S tranny takes just under 3 quarts or about 2.8 litres. On a level surface fill it until it just starts to pour out the fill hole.

Buy from Sunset Porsche or Suncoast Porsche. 3 litres. $40/litre. Pelican no longer sells in small lots.

If it was like motor oil change 2x a year yah very pricey but since you may only do once or twice in your ownership, 3 liters around $100 bucks is a drop in the Porsche bucket. I must have been one of the last to get 1 liter bottles.

Yes I love the color as well. Even when it gets dirty, it still looks clean
A little clay bar and wax and I'm always amazed at how well the color and shine comes out after 16 years

Remember, undo the fill plug first before the drain plug to make sure you can get it off before draining your trans
