2003 Boxster AC/Heat won't work
I have a 2003 Boxster and it won't blow anything from any of the vents. I understand it may be the blower resistor or even the blower itself.
One note that may or may not be related, if i hit the AC button, it won't even turn on. I expected it to at least show the AC was on and potentially draw the engine down a little but it is like it doesn't engage. Also, I know the parts for the blower are up under the passenger side dash but I can't find any good references on replacing it on my model. I could just be overlooking them. I would appreciate any and all help! Thanks |
You mention zero about fuses. You did check those, correct?

Fuses was the 1st thing I checked. I knew I wouldn’t be that lucky. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
And no chance someone has been behind that switch panel recently or even in the past since the factory?
|
Not since I bought it for sure. Can’t speak to before that.

Resistor.
It will keep the snowflake from showing, too. |
Does anyone have a video or pics of how to get to that resistor? I have looked up under the dash and it doesn't appear very easy to get the resistor out.

I should add that mine doesn't look like the following:

One last thing. Could this also be caused from my ignition. It started giving me some issues a while back where the key wouldn't come out and such. I have a replacement on order but read today that it can cause some weird electrical issues as well.

Update: installed the new $9 ignition switch and it fixed all my issues.
