Smoking on start up

Last week my car died enetering the garage and wouldn't start. Fuel pump went bad. Fixed the fuel pump and its running great. But a day or two before that I started the car and it smoked (White) for about 10 seconds than cleared up. Now this is happening more often. Oil level is fine, no other symptons. Any idea why this would be? I often let the car sit for 3-5 days between use but it's never happened before. . Its motorcycle season and I'm using my bike more often tan the 986

If i remember correctly Might be the AOS if you search Boxster white smoke should find alot of info. Some smoke after sitting is normal, but more i dicates the failure I mentioned.

Garage
A little smoke on start up is not unusual. Because the engine is flat, and not a V, the oil doesn't drain back into the bottom of the engine. How many miles/kms are on the engine. How much of the cars history do you know?

Lots of 'search' info on the site regarding AOS and or start up smoke.
