Replaced gulp valve, made thing worse!

I replaced the gulp valve for the EVAP system, the valve under the right font fender liner. The problem I had was a whistling noise and I could not start the car immediately after a fill up.

Now I cannot get her to take fuel!

Ouch, I hate steps backwards.

Also, what is that probe looking thing coming of the gas filler tube?

I had the hard start after fueling and the noise. For me it was the evap regen that is under the drivers side manifold and feeds into the intake by the passenger side of the throttle body. The part cost about 220 and is fiddley to replace. I got cheap and lazy just disconnected it from the TB and plugged the hole and capped the hose. I have a constant CEL but until I get around to fixing it the problem is solved enough. Been about 4K miles and no issues outside the CEL.

I am feeling cheap and lazy right now, I am under time constrains, not sure what you mean by TB?

Also there is a probe looking thing under there, any idea what is it?

Throttle body?

Does this short-term fix allow the car to fuel up.

different discussion

I am working the evap system to allow fueling, you are on the gas cap locking, when I had your issue it was the immobilizer, got spendy quick

So how do you know if you have another different issue that throws a CEL to warn of an i pending failure?

I check and clear my CEL codes about every 2 weeks. They are pretty consistent. I have a code for my nonexistent CATs and the EVAP not operating correctly. Yes TB is for throttle body.
