problems with softtop

Sigh...the replacement top on my "new" used car is another example of the previous owners incompetence. anybody have the easy fix on this, the top isn't getting grabbed by the trim and when I poke it in there while the top is going up, it looks weird and buckled.

That's not incompetence....It's not easy to get that thing to line up in the channel. In the mean time, just use your hands to guide the edge back into the channel before you latch your top.

There is an elastic band, that has a screw, that holds it to a piece of the frame. If it isn't to far stretched out, it can be adjusted/tightened. Put the top in the service position and look for the band in that general area. The screw is very small. Don't drop it into the oblivion. The band is +/-0.500" wide. I adjusted mine and it worked for a while. The elastic stretches out.
