Suggestion...ORIGINAL OWNERS thread

Every once and awhile, I see an "original" owner posting...it's my humble opinion that these people deserve some additional recognition for their ownership. Personally (as a decade long, but not original owner) I would be interested in hearing their stories and sharing memories and photos.

As I am not in that category, I don't wish this thread to be the jumping off point, but perhaps inspire someone else to start an "original owners" thread....and if you are one of that rare breed, kudos in advance.

Not a P car...

I purchased from a used car lot, back in 1994, a BMW 325es with 218,000 miles. The owners manual in the glovebox revealed a name and number to a gentleman about 10 miles from me. I phoned him, and he told me he was in his 60's... original owner... had purchased the car in Germany (US model)... driven it mostly auto/freeway... just him and, occasionally, his wife. Because his wife rarely was a passenger, and never a driver... to assure equitable seat wear would switch the driver/passenger seats every few months. He traded in the bim.. the bim wound up at an auction... was sold and that lot is from where I purchased it.

It now has 290,000 on the clock. I remain the owner.Name: 20160614_081736.jpg

I tried contacting the original owner of my car, never called me back. I would love to get any history if any on the car. I used Carfax to see the shops that the car was worked on and then called them for the owners name. Surprised they gave it to me. I got some work receipts as well this way. Car was an auction car so no history.
