Leaky strut - the question is which is the correct replacement?
 

I've done my own engine swaps but this suspension stuff is making my head spin. I have the 030 code on my 2000 Boxster S. How do I know if this is US or ROW? The Porsche drawings show different numbers than are available and has 2 different numbers too.

Pelican has multiple Bilstein options that say they are for M030 but the model numbers don't match the Porsche catalogue. And those are the black versions. They have several different yellow versions available too. I'm so confused on what I need to buy.

Is the 030 code the build sheet or the part. You could try contacting sunset porsche with you cars vin number maybe. If its on your cars build sheet most likely US option, if not maybe try measure
The ride height.

It's on the frunk option list sticker. I'm assuming U.S. since it's was installed by factory on an American car.

That would be most likely unless someone swapped in the ROW, which I would think unlikely.

From what I can gather, the black ones are the stock B4 struts from Bilstein. The yellow ones are the heavy duty B6 struts. Do you want stock stiffness? Get the B4's, rock,,,*** auto carries both types for around $200 each, B8's which are adjustable are only a little more.

I have a set to put in my 2001 base, I got the B4's because I'm fairly easy to please. Autozone, btw, will loan you a nice spring compressor for a $50 deposit.

Found a local guy that had the original M030 struts with just 30k miles on them. Score! Did get the spring tool from Autozone...will be a fun weekend.
