Michelin Pilot Sport 4S

Has anyone tried the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires? I just bought a set and just received them today (still need to get them mounted), but just grabbing them with my hands they feel different than previous Michelin Pilot Sport tires. They seem to be stickier. No residue on my hands but they seem to grab onto you when you pick them up… Strange.

I sometimes have the same issue with my wife's hands, especially when my wallet is nearby...

I just mounted them on my 2004 “S” with the 18 inch Carrera Lights. I have about 600 miles on them. I think they have a very smooth ride quality, and extremely high cornering limits, and pretty high acceleration limits.

I replaced a set of Bridgestone S-04 that I thought were pretty damn good tires.

These are better.

Been runnning 29/36 psi. May play with the pressures a bit. Only a street driven vehicle.

I have about 700 miles on my 4S's and a little track time on them. I love them! I also put a set on my C63. Such an improvement of what was on there.

On the Boxter I run them at 32-34 Front / 36 Rear (on street)

Yeah, I’m gonna try higher front pressure, the S-04 liked it that way. These 4S understeer s little tiny bit at 29 front. Not a bad thing, but they just turn-in a bit slower at 29 psi.

I forgot where I saw it, probably on this forum. But someone said that the car drives better with higher PSI in the front and I found that he/she was right.

Hi Husker,
Has it been four years? Where does the time go?

I have almost 80K on the new Jӓgermobile... A long way to go to catch-up with my first Boxster, which had over 304K miles on it. Hard to believe I put 270K of those miles on that car. I must like driving Boxsters.
