Question Sticker Price for a 99 ??

I was wondering if anyone knows how to obtain the Sticker Price w/options for a used Boxster . I have a 1999 and was wondering what the vehicle cost the original owner when purchased new. I did a Google Search with some keywords with no luck. Thanks

Hi,

You can get a Certificate of Authenticity which shows the build date and all the options the car got down the Line, MSRP, etc. from PCNA, I believe the cost is $99.

The problem for me is that I have added so many OEM options (OBC, 3-spoke sport wheel, illuminated sunvisors, aluminum console trim, rear speaker kit, remote manual spoiler switch) that a C of A would not be an accurate representation of my car anymore. Hope this helps...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99

The Certificate of Authenticity, is, as Jim suggests, about the only way to precisely identify the original cost. You can order one through the PCNA web site.

If you go to http://www.rahul.net/dennisp/boxster/boxster-1999-options-list.shtml you will find a list of option prices for the '99. Then by using the option code sticker which should be on the underside of the front luggage compartment lid you can attempt to build your own approximation of the original list price. This method is almost guaranteed to be somewhat inaccurate as you will probably find some "mystery" options on your sticker that are not on the list.

Unless your car is either a stripper or a highly optioned car, the MSRP was probably about $50,000 + or -.
