Rear subwoofer drone

Hey guys - I have the Bose sound pack on my '02S with the rear subwoofer. Whenever I play music heavy on bass (even if I turn the bass all the way down on the equalizer), I get a lot of drone/vibration from the woofer. Is this normal? Are there any common ways to remedy this?
