IMS Replacement

Well I am finally getting around to the dreaded task have been reading a ton and watching videos, I got the ln pro installation kit, and what stuck at locking the cams, have a 2002 986 S 3.2, the LN instructions mention locking only one bank of cams and when facing the flywheel to remove the exhaust cam plug on the right.

To me facing the flywheel means sitting behind the engine looking right at the flywheel, there is one plug on the right side and 2 plugs on the left.

And is it correct just to lock one bank?

If your engine is the 3 chain engine (my understanding is that it would be) you really need to lock the intake and exhaust camshafts on both banks (both sides of the engine).
Note the plugs for bank 1 are accessible from inside the car, through the engine access cover behind the seats.
