Help please

Just picked up the 98. I’ve already been to PORSCHE for a new key. When I turn off the ignition with lights off key out, the lcd panels remain lighted. Is this normal?

until you open the door, yes. These keys have retain on power off which means some things like dash/interior lights/radio will stay on until you open the door. Common feature on many new cars in fact, some you can even adjust the amount of time.

My dash l9ghts remain off for 10... 15 minutes after I've removed the key... opened the door... and left.

I'm guessing on the 10-15 minutes... but I've read upon these pages it's not abnormal.

Ok. so the LCD’s go out with door locking
How about the part where you pull the light switch out while car running. I pull switch for dogs, but they go off when switch is released. Indicator light goes on while switch held.

I guess after drilling the wheel
Locks a new light switch is in order
