Tiptronic reset after major surgery?
My 01 Boxster base just got a newer engine--I put it in myself.
Other than moving the Tip from one engine to the other, I did nothing to the trans. It was working well prior to the engine swap. Now after the car has re awoken from the swap, the Tip is alternately flashing the P & 4 dash lights. Trans shifts okay, I rechecked my connections and the vacuum line to the coolant valve. And I changed the ATF, filter, and gasket. No joy! The light is still flashing. So my question, does the transmission ecm require a reset after all this work? My OBD2 reader doesn't pick up trans codes and, of course, doesn't reset them. I've tried d/c ing the battery, that doesn't do anything TIA |
I had some engine codes set, cel was lit. I used my OBD2 scanner to clear the codes. And miraculously the flashing D and R lights cleared and quit flashing. YAY!
