Anyone familiar with these fault codes?
Just picked up my 986 today, didn't drive it too hard but did put some miles on it. The check engine light came on and I ran the fault codes and these are what I got (the car drives and idles fine)
P1319 Misfire, Emission Related, Signal Implausible Cyl. 1-6 P1316 Misfire, Emission Related, Signal Implausible Cyl. 1-6 P1317 Misfire, Emission Related, Signal Implausible Cyl. 1-6 P1318 Misfire, Emission Related, Signal Implausible Cyl. 1-6 P0130 O2 Circuit (Bank 1, Sensor 1) P1313 Misfire, Emission Related, Signal Implausible Cyl. 1-6 P1314 Misfire, Emission Related, Signal Implausible Cyl. 1-6 P1315 Misfire, Emission Related, Signal Implausible Cyl. 1-6 P1124 O2S Sensing Range 1 Cyl. 1-3 P1126 O2S Sensing Range 1 Cyl. 1-3 P0150 O2 Circuit (Bank 2, Sensor 1) I think I'm going to start with fresh spark plugs but any input is appreciated! |
new car to you? clear them all and see if they come back. no idea what the po may have done - get a clean slate for diagnosis.

More information would help. Year, transmission and engine size.

One of the first things I would Do is clean the throttle body and idle control valve and clean the MAF. While there check and make sure your vacuum lines are connected and see if any noticeable vacuum leaks. The next thing I would check is see if your AOS should be replaced. Do a search on AOS problems. |
I had 1124 and 1126 and ended up with a vacuum leak that I needed to have my indy hook a smoke generator to find.

Update: First, thanks for all the advice everyone. I took it to my shop and had the guy do a full on check all over the vehicle. As I expected, spark plugs need replacing along with the boots and seals. On top of that my cam covers are leaking, my oil separator hose is leaking (causing the air leak), and my oil pan is leaking. Other than that the motor mounts will probably need replacing within the next 10k. A little worse than I hoped for but a little better than I anticipated. I should be able to do the oil pan and spark plugs but I'll take it in for the cam covers and oil separator hose. All in all Im hoping itll be less than 2k but well see.
