I just looked it up in the Sacred Tomes: Book 'Group 9 Circuit Diagrams Part 2', Chapter '03, Sheet 2:
Link for full size, print them, and tape together...

and, this should be the final piece i need to complete a connector assignment conversion chart to put a 7.8 dme in a 7.2 dme car (along with swapping ABS pump/HVAC controller/instrument cluster/wheel speed sensors, conversion to 4-channel ABS and non-return fuel pump); i'll make available once complete and ground-truthed.

My Bentley only has wiring diagrams for 1998 DME 5.2.2 and 2001 DME 7.2, published in 2005. Is there one with the 2003-2004 7.8 diagrams? Probably minor differences, but differences.

Hi, first thanks for the infos.

So, if i got it right
B2 = oil level
B5 = oil pressure sensor (not used)
A13 = oil pressure switch

Does anybody know which plug color is A and B on FL cars?

2003 FL cars do have a green, a blue and a grey plug.

On pre FL cars
PLUG 1 = Blue
PLUG 2 = White
PLUG 3 = Black

But how is that on FL cars?

Thanks!

Hi Ike84.,

unfortunately that's much to small to be readable. I've sent you a PM.

Thanks, Markus

Ike84 had sent me wiring diagrams. Unfortunately they are for the year 2000-2002 cars.

I need the diagrams for 2003-2004 cars. So the facelift models.

If somebody can provide me with some infos - especially for the 2003-2004 instrument cluster wiring - that would be great.

Thanks a lot!

Correct.

I already posted the full diagram of the cluster wiring in post #2 of this thread *except* for the color of the connectors which was cropped out of the top of the picture. Here it comes. (Spoiler alert....)

...are you ready?

Plug A: Green / Grün
Plug B: Blue / Blau
Plug C: Gray / Grau

Thanks!

My problem is that doesn't make sense, because on the PCB B2 and B3 on Plug B (Blue) are connected. B3 is the sun temp sensor. That only would make sense if the sensors get connected to the IC via a bus signal. But i think that is all analog.

There have been a few mistakes in the manual. Both of those sensors also have a ground.

Oil level shows:
Ground B18 with a brown/orange wire.
Signal B2 with a green/blue wire.

Sun sensor shows:
Ground B19 with a brown/orange wire.
Signal B3 with a black/red wire.

Is that what you observe?

Are B18 and B19 closed to PCB Ground?
