Window roll down problem

Hey there, I have a problem with my 97' Boxster. It started about a month ago. When I hit bumps in the road, the windows roll down halfway as if the car is trying to go into convertible mode. I just have to 'punch' the latch and roll the windows back up, but sometimes this whole ordeal occurs 7 or 8 times during a 10 minute drive.

I have searched many, many threads on here and other websites and can't seem to find a solid answer, except to replace the micro switch. What do you guys suggest I do to rule out some possibilities and to find the answer?

Thanks in advance!

The microswitch located on the header panel probably needs to be replaced or adjusted. When you hit the bumps the body flexes and loses contact with the switch. The car thinks that the latch has been loosened and it drops the windows in preparation for the top being lowered. Sometimes you can bend the contact on the microswitch to increase contact with the latch.
