Well, it certainly pretty much eliminates anything mechanical and it must be in the DME. I don't know it well enough to guess what comes in after 30 minutes but perhaps you can do some logging to figure it out. Does the EVAP solenoid open or something like that and it tries to purge the tank pressure ??? I have no clue but logging all parameters would maybe point to something that opens or changes at that interval. There are some codes that cars won't throw till a 2nd or 3rd drive cycle or a drive cycle that is over a certain length of time, I don't know what that is on the Porsche as I am a mechanic but not Porsche specific or that familiar with it.

thanks for your help. I've driven this thing for hundreds of miles and a track event (thankful for 25 min sessions, had to restart in the hot pits, lol), no codes present or pending.

I can definitely check into what might be occuring at that time but my datalogging didn't reveal much so far.

One other question, does in not go over 6k under load only or it won't free rev there either? In the video it definitely sounds like it comes onto a fuel rev limiter.

That's not a fuel rev limiter, that is an ignition rev limiter.

That's a software problem.

speed, gear, or load level don't matter. Full throttle, or gentle throttle, same beef.

Will hit the issue in neutral as well, rolling or at rest.
