Too Hot!

I tried to take my 03 S with 19K miles on it from Tulsa to Dallas and back the senic route. It ran fine for 450 miles then we stopped for a break. Car discharged a little coolant...then started overheating badly...temp would bounce from 180 to 250! We stoped four times in 30 miles adding water trying to cool it down. Car would run at 190deg for a few miles even with heater blasting then jump up to 250. Engine got so hot that red dip stick end turned black! At first Motel we stopped for night to try to cool it down. In the morning temp gauge stayed at zero, check engine light came on, and oil got hot.

Called porsche and they towed it 120 miles to nearest dealer.

In 1 year and 10,000 miles this car has had a rms failure, air cond. failure, convertable top failure, now this! how could you afford to own one not under warranty?

"how could you afford to own one not under warranty?"

You can't.

Refer to JD Powers data.

Is Porsche listening?????

I have a 03 S and have had no problems at all in the first 17k miles of ownership and several autocross runs. Knock in wood :) The car hasn't been back to the dealer since it left there 3 yrs ago. Good thing since the dealership is a 2 hr drive away! The car you drove was jinxed..don't buy it!!
